The best time to trek the Rabdentse Ruins Trail — starting from Sakyong Kothi Village — is from October to May. This season offer pleasant temperatures, clear skies, and excellent visibility of the Kanchenjunga range. The forest trail remains dry and comfortable, making the hike smooth and enjoyable.
During spring (March–May), trekkers are treated to vibrant greenery and seasonal Himalayan blooms like rhododendrons and magnolias, adding colour and charm to the journey.
